Piecing it all together: Students show their enthusiasm as participants in the OMA's pipe fitting puzzle challenge at the Skills Canada Ontario's technological skills competition in Waterloo in May 2009.  Vale Inco developed the pipe fitting challenge.  The Skills Canada Ontario event attracted more than 30,000 students, teachers and parents.

NickelQuest makes its debut
The Ontario Mining Association's virtual mine tour NickelQuest made its debut on the big screen at a ceremony held in Sudbury at Dynamic Earth on June 12, 2007. 

 

 

 

Gem quality
Diamonds and kimberlite samples from De Beers Canada Victor mine near Attawapiskat, which is scheduled to start commercial production in 2008.  Some of the samples from Ontario's first diamond mine were on display at the OMA Meet the Miners event in April 2007 at the Legislature. 

 

 

 

Energy conservation efforts recognized
