Publications
One of the Ontario Mining Association's functions is to be a communications link. The Association strives to help be a facilitator of communications from the industry to government and from the government to industry. Also, it shares news among member companies, to key audiences in government and in a broader sense to the media and the public.
The Association tries to serve this communications link function through the e-mail and the internet, through letters, briefs and submissions and through publications. The Association's newsletter MINING MATTERS, with several back issues, is posted on this website.
Also, the Association has an arrangement with the Canadian Mining Journal in which the first issue that publication every year features news about mining activity in Ontario and the Ontario Mining Association. The January 2005 edition of the Canadian Mining Journal is available from this website.
In other sections of the website, you can find the study "The Economic and Fiscal Contributions of the Mining Industry in Ontario" (Economics), the environmental booklet "Towards Greener Footprints" (Environment) and in the Education section, there are mining resource materials for teachers and students.
