OMA Announces New Board Chair, Pays Tribute to Outgoing Chair

The Ontario Mining Association is pleased to announce Natasha Vaz as the designated incoming Chair of its Board of Directors. Effective September 2021, Ms. Vaz will become the first woman to serve in this role. She will succeed Mike McCann, who leaves the OMA to accept the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC).

The Ontario Mining Association welcomes the news that the provincial government, Marten Falls First Nation and Webequie First Nation have entered into an agreement to advance planning and development of a proposed Northern Road Link that will provide reliable, all-season road access to mine sites in the Ring of Fire region and connect First Nation communities to Ontario’s provincial highway network.
